Put a slot in your writing.
Every slot is a permanent pair of URLs — an image and a click-through. The URLs never change. What they serve does.
The embed
Paste that anywhere Markdown renders. No JavaScript, no iframe, nothing to update later.
Choose the mode for the medium
| Surface | Re-fetches the image? | Live rotation |
|---|---|---|
| Markdown blogs, docs sites, HTML | yes, every render | yes |
| GitHub READMEs (via Camo) | yes, proxied | yes — minutes of cache |
| RSS readers, email | usually | mostly |
| PDFs, print | no — pixels bake in | use pinned |
rotate — for live surfaces
Anything that re-downloads the image each view shows the current ad automatically. That is the default and the core of the product.
pinned — for frozen media
A PDF captures the pixels once and never re-fetches, so a rotating slot inside one would freeze on a sponsor while its click link kept resolving to whoever rotates in later. Pinned binds the slot to a single campaign so the frozen image stays truthful — and clicks from a years-old PDF still track and still pay you while the sponsorship runs.
What to expect
No matching campaign? A blank transparent image is served, so your layout never breaks.
Categories tag your slot with the subjects your content covers; untagged slots accept every campaign.
Earnings credit on each valid click — the campaign's bid minus the platform fee. Bot and repeat clicks still redirect the reader but pay nobody and charge nobody.
House ads fill your empty rotations by default. They earn you nothing directly, but they lower your platform fee on the clicks that do pay — and your slot is never blank. You can switch them off when you create the slot.
Withdraw any time by pasting a Lightning invoice on the slot desk.
